Protein is an essential nutrient which plays a part in several areas of the body, including muscle formation, skin structure and cell repair. Protein is most commonly found in meats, dairy and nuts, but supplements can help to boost your intake even further. For a delicious, protein-packed start to your day, try these vegan banana protein pancakes.
Vegan Banana Protein Pancakes Recipe
What You Need
- 130g of gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 250ml of dairy-free milk
- 1 scoop of Myvitamins Vanilla Soy Protein Isolate (Alternatively you can also use our Hemp Protein Powder or our Brown Rice Protein Powder)
- 1 large banana
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
Method
- Mash the banana and mix it with the milk. An electric whisk works well for this.
- Slowly add in the protein powder, all-purpose flour, baking powder and cinnamon.
- Place a pan over the heat with a tsp of coconut oil.
- Pour a portion of the mixture into the pan and heat for 2 minutes each side.
- Stack your pancakes and add any toppings of your choice. We've recommend banana slices and lots of maple syrup. Top with chopped nuts to boost your protein intake even further.
