The perfect addition to your daily routine, glucomannan is an EU approved supplement ingredient which is scientifically proven to support weight loss. (1) Here’s everything you need to know.

What Is Glucomannan?

Glucomannan is a natural, water-soluble dietary fibre that is extracted from the roots of the elephant yam plant. This extract expands in the stomach as it absorbs water, helping you to feel fuller for longer. (1) Myvitamins Glucomannan Capsules are a convenient source of this popular ingredient, helping you to support your goals from within every single day.

So, does glucomannan work? Studies conducted on 176 overweight people compared glucomannan to a placebo whilst on a calorie-restricted diet. After 5 weeks, weight loss was significantly higher for those consuming glucomannan than those taking the placebo. 2

In a second study on 20 subjects, glucomannan was given to the obese individuals along with instruction to make no changes to their exercise or eating habits. The results showed an average 5.5 lbs weight loss as well as a reduction in blood cholesterol levels. 3
